Sweet and with a slight crunch, that's how we like our pears! Great on cheese boards, even better poached and with a scoop of ice-cream, you just can't go past the versatility of a good ol' pear.  This big pear is made of clay and fired in my kiln, so it will last forever. Don't try and eat it!

This pear was a part of my recent body of work called 'Persephone's Table' which referenced the Greek myth of Persephone - Goddess of Spring and the Underworld. I created a table-scape that featured the food of the Gods and referenced historical sources to discover the foods of Ancient Greece.
